Overview
The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is designed for those responsible for the care of infants and children, including nursery staff, childminders, teachers, sports coaches and childcare professionals. The qualification meets the first aid requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Duration: 2 day course

- Choking emergencies
- Seizures and febrile convulsions
- Asthma
- Diabetes
- Anaphylaxis
- Meningitis awareness
- Head injuries
- Fractures and dislocations
- Bleeding and shock
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning
- Eye, ear and nose injuries
- Childhood illnesses and medical emergencies
Entry Requirements
- Learners must be at least 14 years old.
- No previous qualification is required.
- Learners must be able to undertake practical assessments involving infant and child CPR.
