Level 3
Award in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3)

The Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) is the leading entry-level prehospital care qualification in the UK. Designed for those working or aspiring to work within ambulance services, event medical services, rescue organisations, close protection, community response schemes and other emergency care environments, the qualification develops the knowledge and practical skills required to assess, treat and manage patients in prehospital settings.

Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4)

The Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4) develops learners into more autonomous prehospital care practitioners. Building on the foundations established within FREC 3, the qualification enhances clinical assessment, decision-making and patient management skills across a broad range of medical and traumatic emergencies.

Award in Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication (SALM)

The Level 3 Award in Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely administer a range of lifesaving medications within prehospital and emergency care settings. The qualification supports practitioners operating under approved medicines management frameworks and organisational governance arrangements.

The Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely administer emergency oxygen therapy within prehospital and healthcare environments. Award in Immediate Life Support (Out of Hospital)

The Level 3 Award in Immediate Life Support (Out of Hospital) is designed for healthcare professionals and prehospital care practitioners who may be required to manage critically ill or deteriorating patients outside of a hospital environment.
